Airline Announces Flights to Iraq

www.arabworldnews.com A private airline plans on launching its first charter flight from Baltimore's BWI airport
to the northern Iraqi city of Irbil in late April.
"This is a rescue effort," said Marshall Adame of Sky Airlines. "This is an effort to take an entire country and put them back on their feet."
Because the security situation is so dicey, airline executives say they'll only have final clearance 24 hours before the flight takes off.
According to the Coalition Provisional Authority, there are no commercial flights and no scheduled flights in and out of Iraq. However, about 40 military and charter flights make the trip daily. One security analyst said the charters are less risky because the terrorists don't know exactly when they are flying.
However, CPA spokesman Dan Senor said that questions of security will always trump economic benefits when considering whether to reopen Iraq's airports
