Visit Dublin International Marketing Campaign

Failte Ireland’s commitment to growing tourism to Dublin is being built upon with the integration and work of the Visit Dublin team. In the pipeline is an extensive international marketing campaign together with a creative refresh to ensure Dublin maintains its positioning within its city break competitive set whilst the ITIC review is carried out. Multi-media activity will focus on the key markets of GB, France, Germany and US communicating strong differentiators and value.

Dublin Convention Bureau Topline Results

In 2011 €50 million euro in economic value was delivered to Dublin by the Dublin Convention Bureau which translates into over 33,000 overseas visitors/delegates. Already this year the DCB team has completed 141 leads, conducted 20 site inspections and submitted 10 congress bids. Business won to date this year is 30% up on the same period in 2011 with over €23 million in confirmed business for Dublin.  DCB is on track to convert €52.5 million euro worth of business tourism to Dublin.

Upcoming Events in Dublin

The tourist season is definitely underway, even if we’re still waiting for the summer sunshine!  Regardless of the weather, Dublin has a huge schedule of events and festivals to offer visitors. Ranging from sporting to cultural events, from the well-established such as the Discover Ireland Horse Show in its 139th year, to the exciting Tall Ships Races in August, Dublin has something for everyone this summer. With all of this activity in place, now is the time to brief staff on all that is going on in Dublin. Doing this will ensure that each visitor gets to experience Dublin at its best. There is also the opportunity to leverage these events further by developing themed packages and special offers. If you create any offers, please make sure to let our Visit Dublin Team know so that you are featured on the VisitDublin.com website.
