The first flight from the Danish capital, Copenhagen, marked the resumption of the second Dubai-Copenhagen season of SAS Scandinavian Airlines, the carrier in Northern Europe, as it landed at 6:35 am on October 30, 2008 at the Dubai International Airport.
SAS Airlines' Dubai-Copenhagen service serves as an important link for Middle Eastern travellers to experience Scandinavian natural attractions, as well as for business people from both the Middle East and Northern Europe to further explore the increasing business opportunities brought about by the growing regional bilateral trade between the hubs.
In addition, the airline caters to a huge segment of Scandinavians who travel into Dubai and the region.
"SAS Scandinavian Airlines' second season of the Dubai-Copenhagen service has resumed to provide business and leisure travelers a thrice-weekly, non-stop flight to Copenhagen and excellent onward connections into Northern Europe at competitive prices," Anna Lyczak-Czepukojc, UAE General Manager, Scandinavian Airlines, said.
