Here below an article from Dziennik Gazeta Prawna, the daily magazine that shows the interesting of the Polish tourists for North Africa countries. We invite you to come to Poland and make business with the Polish Travel trade during our seventh edition of Polish travel Mart 2013, the national outgoing workshop. The Arab countries which aim at a sharp increase of their promotion in Poland include above all Egypt, Tunisia and Morocco. Agencies from all those three countries want to eliminate as soon as possible the bad impression which remained after the last year’s political turmoil and want to play host again to a big number of Polish tourists. In order to achieve that objective the three countries will spend over PLN 13 million (EUR 3.1 million) on marketing campaigns. “Our budget for the promotional campaigns increased by 40% from last year. The money will be spent on billboards which will appeal in all major Polish cities, on TV and radio commercials and on advertisements in the press” said Magdalena Pomyka³a from the Tunisia’s Tourist Office. The promotional campaigns already bring their first results. The Polish tourists return gradually to the region of northern Africa. According to the data presented by the portal EasyGo.pl, 40.2% of bookings made between the beginning of this year and end of April were precisely for such destinations. 6.86% of the bookings made through the portal were for Tunisia and 2% for Morocco. “Obviously such numbers are not comparable with the interest in those destinations before the revolution but the situation is improving. In our case the interest in travelling to the countries of northern Africa increased by 70% from last year”, said Magda Plutecka-DydoÙŒ from Neckermann.(Dziennik Gazeta Prawna, p.A2) |
