Poland Opens Up: Eco-tourists Welcome

www.tourism-review.com Ever since the fall of the Soviet Union, Poland has been attracting tourists from all over the world. Not only is it a country with a very powerful historical and cultural background, it also amazes with its natural treasures and breathtaking landscapes.

Since Poland entered the EU, it has been trying to improve its tourist industry. It has been growing considerably. Many visitors come to see the old cities and get a taste of Polish traditional culture; however the government is trying to offer much more.

Ecotourism is another field in which money flows these days. There are countless trips designed to meet various demands. Most of them take the tourists to the Beskidy mountains.

The expeditions are carefully organized by professionals. The duration of the trips varies, from five to ten days of trekking. And there is much to discover in the Beskidy region. The expeditions combine hiking, trekking and on occasion even canoeing. Breakfasts and dinners are usually provided by the mountain hostels and guest houses, where the clients are accommodated.

On the other hand, lunches are prepared on the way and the professional guides usually take great care to surprise with some specialty of local delicious cuisine.

Nature lovers may also enjoy the charms of Pieninski National Park or the Popradski Landscape Park. Apart from the wonderful fauna and flora that is to be seen here, the tourists get to stop at some sites of cultural and historical value. The companies providing trips to the parks are very strict as far as the rules go.

The guides take great care to always keep nature in mind and make sure the tourists behave in a respectable and ‘friendly’ way. The trips are conveniently designed in order to present Polish beauties in the best possible light, without any rush and stress. So, at the end of the trip the adventurers hardly want to leave.
