This year, in addition to food parcels, RJ will distribute medical equipment and wheelchairs to people with special needs and will hold Iftar banquets for orphans. School bags and stationery will also be handed out to underprivileged students in the desert, villages and camps all over the kingdom.
RJ President/CEO Hussein Dabbas said that the campaign comes within the framework of the voluntary charitable contributions the company makes during the holy month of Ramadan, thus interacting with the local community and offering support to families in need in the Kingdom.
He added that these activities are in line with RJ's belief in the importance of supporting the needy and less fortunate in the community, and show the company’s keenness to shoulder its social responsibilities. The Ramadan charitable activities come to complement those carried out throughout the year as a part of the carrier’s social responsibility.
Dabbas pointed out that RJ implements this campaign in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Development and local associations that are involved in charitable work. Through its Public Relations team, the airline ensures that aid parcels are handed out to the less fortunate in the society, selected after a study that is conducted annually before Ramadan to identify the underprivileged districts and individuals.
In addition to the mentioned governorates, this year's campaign will involve various areas in the northeastern Badiya, Mafraq, Zarqa, Ruseifeh, Salt, Karak, Tafileh and Amman.
