One month after its soft opening, Tala Bay officially launched its scenic, state of the art Marina on this month by welcoming an international collection of Sailing Yachts as they tour the Red Sea and sail onto India. Jordan has been chosen as one of their destinations and Tala Bay Marina in Aqaba has been chosen as their host.
The first Vasco da Gama Yacht Rally included 35 sailing yachts from Holland, France, the Americas, UK, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Sweden and Australia. The boats varied in size from 9 metres to 17 metres, and covered 4,266 nautical miles.
The Marina is an integral part of Tala Bay, the first resort of its kind in Jordan. The comprehensive 2700 dunum resort built on a two kilometre strip of unspoilt beach, will include over 1500 residential units, five hotels, boutiques, restaurants, a golf course and an aqua park. The resort just a boat trip away from the Egyptian resort of Taba, is set to become of the key destinations on the Red Sea.
The Tala Bay Marina is sheltered and directly on the Gulf of Aqaba, Red Sea, in an excellent location serving both the city of Aqaba and Jordan. Tala Bay is located along one of the most beautiful coral reefs, within the Aqaba Marine Park, with suitable swimming conditions, clear water and breathtaking view. There are several mooring buoys along the coastline of Tala Bay, located off the shore. The Marina also offers state-of-the-art facilities, adhering to the highest level of international standards. The fuelling pontoon is operational, providing diesel and benzene, with a waste-water pump-out system. Dedicated service pillars provide metered electricity and water and the moorings follow a four-point system.
Tala Bay consists of many attractions within its 2,671,000 m², including a 2 km stretch of beach on the Red Sea, a Marina of 30,000 square metres, residences in different compositions, several hotels, leisure activities; including golf, beach club and aqua park. Also support services; staff housing, commercial and retail outlets. Tala Bay has its own complete infrastructure, providing roads, electricity, water, communications and other utilities. |
