Danube River Sales Guide

|
A new version of the online Danube River Sales Guide http://www.danubesalesmanual.com/ has been re-launched with more information, more pictures, more destinations and more downloads and links, and brand-new exciting games for virtual Danube sailors big and small.
In addition to the information previously available about countries, cities and towns, sights, cultural events and tourist services in the member countries of the Danube Tourist Commission-Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Romania and Moldova-book recommendations are there now also provided that can be ordered on Amazon, as well as an "image of the day", pdf downloads, for example, overviews of cruise and excursion ship schedules and cultural events.
The start page features general information about the Danube lands and links to individual destinations. The overview of countries also contains information about the special events and festivals. One of the new destinations on the site is Tulcea, the gateway to the Romanian Danube, with details on the Delta, the "Landscape of the Year 2007-09", links to boat excursions in the bird preserve and accommodations aboard floating hotels.
The games on the new Danube Sales Manual are a real challenge to armchair captains and anglers: the "Danube Cruise". The river cruise game lets you take the helm and put your sailing skills to the test in navigating obstacles like rocks, shallows, and approaching vessels to arrive safely in harbour. Different levels of difficulty can be selected, and while the cursor helps the final port of call is far and the route tricky.
Just as exciting is the "Danube Fisherman" game in which the fish just seem not to want to bite the hook. Scores are of course a matter of fisherman's luck, and the larger catches score higher.
Development of the Danube Sales Manual by the Danube Tourist Commission was sponsored by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology and implemented by Zolles & Edinger GmbH tourism consultants. Strix Software of Vienna was responsible for design and programming as well as for technical maintenance . The Danube Tourist Commission supervises entry of data and content.
