The German Carrier Lufthansa is now offering three weekly direct flights from Frankfurt to Bahrain, continuing to Abu Dhabi.
Lufthansa office was first opened in Bahrain in April 1985. Currently the establishment consists of six employees, Mr. Waseem Shaikh, Ms. Janat Soomro, Mohd Malik, Tracy D'Souza, Saiqa Ghauri and Mahmood Ali.
Mr. Uwe Wriedt, General Manager U.A.E, and Director for the Gulf and Pakistan said, “Since our announcement of the inaugural flight into Bahrain, we experienced a more than positive feedback from our customers and enhanced relationships with them. We feel the Bahraini’s have been extremely supportive and shown keen interest for Lufthansa. Also by having a representative office of our own in Bahrain, this will afford our existing and certainly new customers more immediate access to our services – with no time, language or cultural barriers blocking the way. Lufthansa continues its strategy of flights to the world’s oil markets and growing industries. “
To thank Civil Aviation Affairs for their support in bringing back the flight to the Island, Lufthansa presented them with an appreciation award. Two lucky winners walked away with Business Class tickets to Berlin with overnight stays in the Adlon Hotel , Berlin.
Lufthansa is one of the world’s biggest and most prestigious airlines. Also, renowned as the world’s favourite international airline, Lufthansa successfully owns a fleet of 390 aircraft and is among the world’s top ten airlines. Lufthansa proudly is also a founding member of the Star Alliance which flies to over 795 destinations in 139 countries. Star Alliance’s vision is to be the leading global airline alliance for the high value international traveller. Today, Star Alliance has 16 member carriers. |
