Egyptian Ministry of Tourism. In the framework of creating demand in the Chinese market and the promotion of incoming Chinese tourism to Egypt His Excellency, Mr. Ahmed Al Maghraby, attended a ceremonial held at the Chinese Embassy in Cairo.
More than five hundred Chinese tourists, besides residents attended the event. This ceremony was held to celebrate the new Chinese year under the slogan “ Enjoy New Year’s eve at the footsteps of the great Pyramids”.
Mr. EL Maghraby gave a speech in which he welcomed all the attendees while Shedding light on strong relations between Egypt and China.
“Since the dawn of history, Egypt and China have inspired the whole world with a set of incredible traditions, a wealth of teachings that are still in influence. Modern times continue to witness the solid growing cooperation between the two countries in all domains”. Declared el Maghraby.
Further more, the Minister seized the opportunity to declare that the ministry is preparing a road show to China, with participants from both the private and public tourism sector next May.
On the other hand, His Excellency the Chinese ambassador expressed his delight in a speech delivered in Arabic to witness such a joyful event with two great cultures interacting.
Hala Al Khateeb, spokeswoman of the Ministry of Tourism, mentioned that the WTO has released recently a research declaring that China will be in the very few next coming years, the biggest market exporting tourism to the whole world. The number of outbound tourism is estimated to reach one hundred million tourists by 2020.
Similarly, the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism together with the Egyptian Tourist Authority (ETA) have conducted studies related to the Chinese market in specific. Studies revealed that Chinese tourists are culture and tradition oriented. |
