www.tehrantimes.com Persian literature was reviewed in a seminar entitled “Days of Iran’s Literature” which beganat the Turkish Ministry of Culture in Ankara on December 17. The Iranian Embassy in Ankara and the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism cosponsored the two-day seminar.
The head of the Turkish Poets Society delivered a speech during the opening ceremony of the seminar, which was attended by the Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Erkan Mumcu and a number of Iranian and Turkish cultural figures.
Several Iranian academics as well as 13 Turkish writers gave lectures on subjects including literature of Islamic Revolution, poetries of Iran and Ottoman Empire, Iranian literature and Ferdowsi, Sadeq Hedayat and story writing in Iran, Iranian and Turk Sufis, themes of Hafez’s ghazals (sonnets), world reputation of Rumi, and Forugh in Iranian literature. |
