IRNA Head of an Iranian construction consortium here on Wednesday discussed the possibility of constructing a tourism city near Syria's coastal city of Lazeqiyeh.
Head of the consortium, Hassan Akhoundi, discussed the matter in a meeting with the Syrian Tourism Minister Sa’dallah Aqa al-Qal’ah.
According to IRNA reporter the exact location for implementing the project is yet to be found, and if approved it would include a hotel, an apartment hotel, a sports complex, service and recreational facilities. The Lebanese Tourism Minister during the meeting referred to the newly passed laws and adopted decision to attract foreign capitals, stressing, "Damascus is also fully ready for all-out cooperation with Iranian investors, including provision of the required facilities for them in order to pursue their projects."
Akhoundi, too, considered as "positive and encouraging" the measures adopted in Syria for attracting foreign investors.
The volume of Iran's investments in Syria is expected to increase up to 1.2 million U.S. dollars. |
