www.chnpress.com The International Conference on Tourism of Islamic Countries will be held in Tehran in March 2007 to discuss the current state of tourism in these countries and find ways for promoting it.
With supports received from Iran’s Chamber of Commerce, Iran’s Cultural Heritage News Agency (CHN) will hold a three-day conference on Tourism of Islamic Countries, organized for 3-5 March 2007 in Tehran.
The conference aims at analyzing the current state of tourism in the Muslim World in order to come up with ideas to solve the existing problems in the tourism industry of these countries though finding ways to identify and introduce major tourism attractions in each country by means of an effective advertising policy in the target countries.
It is also anticipated that this international gathering would help find proper approaches to take maximum advantage of the potential capabilities which exist in the Islamic countries such as the executive power of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) and the financial capacities of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB).
A series of technical lectures, professional discussion panels and workshops will be devised into the program covering a wide range of topics including: Islamic tourism: strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats; economy and geography of Islamic tourism; Islamic tourism management; target markets of the Islamic tourism; and introducing the tourism attractions of Islamic countries in the target countries.
