Daily Mail: Iran’s nuclear facilities are to be opened to tourists.
As the country attempts to prove its nuclear programme is for energy, not bombs, visitors will be invited to look around its uranium enrichment plant at Natanz.
And Iran’s first nuclear power plant, being built with Russian help at Bushehr will also be on the tourist trail.
Mohammed Sharif Malekzadeh, the deputy head of Iran’s Tourist Organisation said that Iran was setting a global precedent.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran’s transparency is so great that it opens the way for all domestic and foreign tourists, elites and learned people to visit these Iranian nuclear energy centres and sites”, he said.
