According to the document, an independent institution called 'Iran-China Friendship Association' will be established within the framework of China's Joint Foreign Friendship Association.
Based on the MOU, the two sides agreed to add the sisterhood of capitals of the two states, namely Tehran and Beijing, on their agenda before the beginning of the 2008 summer Olympic Games in Beijing.
Translation of books and cultural material from the two countries into each other's languages, expansion of cooperation in cultural, tourist and art sectors are also included in the MOU.
The agreement was signed by the Head of Iran-China Friendship Association Ahad Mohammadi and the director general of China's Friendship Association for Africa-Asia.
Iran-China Friendship Association is a non-governmental organization, which was founded in 2000. |
