IRNA The Persian Gulf Tourism Conference was held simultaneously in Tehran and Qeshm On the occasion of the International Tourism Day
when 250 students left Tehran for the Persian Gulf Area, including Qeshm Island to get acquainted with the area's tourist attractions.
During the tour, the tourist attractions of the island were introduced. The students, were
taken to Hora Forests. According to environmentalists, about 1.5 percent of the world birds and 25 percent of Iran's native birds annually migrate to Hora Forests.
The students also visited the Portuguese Castle, a monument dating back to Portugal's colonial era on the island and the historical Kharbes Caves. The conference held simultaneously in Tehran and Qeshm was organized jointly by University Jihad, Tehran University, Hormuzgan University, Foundation of Iranology and Iran's Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organization.
