FO eases warning on Turkey

The Foreign Office has relaxed its advice on Turkey and is no longer warning against non- The FO originally issued the warning following bomb attacks in Istanbul last monthwh ichkilled 53 and wounded hundreds.
A spokeswoman for the FO said: "We have relaxed the advice based on new information received from intelligence sources."
However, the FO's website, www.fco.gov.uk, still claims there is ahigh risk of terrorism in Turkey and urges travellers to be "vigilant".
The Turkish Tourist Board predicted tourism to the country next summer would not be affected.
