The filming for the documentary, which will be about Mawlawi dargahs located in 10 different countries from Israel to Ukraine, will start in Syria.
The documentary will be prepared and completed by November 2006 as part of World Mawlana Year-2007, declared the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.
Photo artist Fevzi Simsek is the coordinator for the project, which is supported by the Turkish Culture and Tourism Ministry.
Having prepared the documentary and photo album entitled, “Turkey’s Mawlawi Dargahs,†Simsek said he is extremely thrilled about the project that will once again bring the Mawlawi dargahs to light.
The documentary will be filmed in the following countries: Syria, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Lebanon, Israel, Egypt, Greece, Bulgaria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia-Montenegro (Kosovo), and Ukraine (Crimea).
Science adviser for the project Professor Hasim Karpuz said the project is very important because only a few works of Mawlawi dargahs from 50 countries remain until the present day. |
