Middle East Visitors Can Make Most Of Britain As Royal Wedding Approaches
|

With the UK’s Royal wedding only a month away, now is the perfect opportunity for enthusiasts from the Middle East to experience Royal Britain in all its glory.
Visitors can trace the steps of the Royal couple, from where they met at The University of St Andrews in Scotland, to London’s Westminster Abbey where the ceremony is to be held, then follow the route of the Royal procession through some of London’s most famous landmarks such as St James’ Park, beginning at the breathtaking Buckingham Palace – site of the reception.
VisitBritain has launched a special “The Royal Wedding” section as part of their online offering http://www.visitbritain.com/en/Things-to-do/The-Royal-Wedding/ to showcase all that Britain has to offer in the lead up to the wedding between Prince William, the second in line to the British throne, and Kate Middleton on 29 April 2011.
“Visiting the UK around the time of the Royal Wedding offers travellers from the Middle East a fantastic opportunity to see Britain’s unparalleled Royal heritage at its absolute best. As holiday plans and ideas are taking shape, regional visitors are sure to take advantage of the information and ideas provided on the “Royal Wedding” section of our website. It will be regularly updated with featured content leading up to the special day and beyond to guarantee visitors have a memorable British experience,” said Carol Maddison, UAE Manager, VisitBritain.
Royal wedding enthusiasts can also take advantage of accommodation fit for royalty with London’s May Fair Hotel offering two pampering packages: the “Royal Wedding Afternoon Tea” package with a classic British afternoon tea and commemorative flutes, and an extravagant “Suite and Sapphire” package offering a stay in the exclusive Azure Suite and a designer sapphire engagement ring for those couples planning on their own wedding.
The next two years will see many first time and seasoned visitors flocking to Britain for the Royal wedding and the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, with VisitBritain predicting that publicity over the events will attract 300,000 more overseas tourists in 2011, taking the overall number of inbound travellers to 30.0 million, a rise of one percent, in the coming year.
VisitBritain has launched an inspirational TV channel, VisitBritain TV, in time for these two spectacular occasions to promote British people and events and allow the millions of tourists to make their visit as memorable as possible. http://www.visitbritain.tv |
