Hit the road and take a 3 day “Faces & Places” photography workshop in Oman with visiting international photography gurus Bobbi Lane and David Nightingale, 17 – 19 March.
Scheduled hot on the heels of the Gulf Photo Plus 2011 event in Dubai, visiting photographers Bobbi Lane (a portrait specialist) and David Nightingale (a landscape and photoshop guru) have teamed up to present “Faces and Places” a workshop photographing the stunning landscapes and expressive people of Muscat, Oman.

Bobbi and David, both visited Oman last November when they were in the region to teach at the Gulf Photo Plus FotoWeekend, scoping out the destination for this unique photography tour. They will teach participants the skills needed to take their travel photography to the next level. Bobbi and David will explain and demonstrate how to get the most from photographing natural and urban landscapes and how to produce stunning travel portraits that illustrate the heart and soul of the places you visit.
The workshop tour will take place 17 – 19 March and is ideal for confident beginners to more advanced photographers.
The tour begins with a social gathering the evening before the first shoot (Wednesday 16th March), during which fellow students and instructors will receive a detailed brief on the coming days.
Day 1 – the tour takes participants to the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, the Presidential Palace and the beach.
Day 2 – Wadi Shab located midway between Muscat and Sur is the focus, followed by Sur, the town itself.
Day 3 – in the morning the busy Muttrah Souk in Muscat provides the ideal venue to capture fascinating scenes and people, the afternoon will be spent on detailed critique and review of images.
The “Faces and Places” photo tour is priced at US$1,350 including accommodation at the four star Ramee hotel, daily breakfast and lunch, transport within Oman to the locations of the workshops, models, instruction by Bobbi, David and an assistant. The price does not include transportation to Muscat, dinners, beverages or incidentals. |
