SCTA and MOCI discuss 'Business Tourism' development in the Kingdom

A number of officials from Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) and Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI), in a joint meeting, yesterday, in the headquarters of SCTA, discussed development of business tourism in the Kingdom.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Abdulla Al Hamoudi, undersecretary of MOCI for domestic commerce, and His Excellency Abdulla Al Jehani, Vice-President of SCTA for Marketing and Information Affairs, along with a number of officials from both sides.
The meeting has reviewed works, tasks and future roles of the standing committee of exhibitions and conferences, which is formed of a number of relevant public authorities. Also it has discussed a number of issues and suggestions that will contribute in the development of business tourism in the Kingdom.
At the outset of the meeting, Al Jehani, welcomed the attendees, asserting the important role of MOCI in supporting business tourism, stating further that, the committee is devoted to develop exhibitions, conferences, forums and meeting across public and private sectors in an effort to eventually developing business tourism project as well as creating jobs in it.
Al Hamoudi in his comments praised SCTA efforts and partnerships in the field of business tourism supporting in the Kingdom, and referring to business tourism's role in enhancing the national tourism.
