Bradt’s new guidebook to Slovakia focuses on one of the EU's least discovered Central European destinations.
Impressively situated on the Danube, Bratislava boasts stunningly-restored Baroque, Rococo and art-nouveau buildings. Beyond the capital visitors will find a country packed with architectural gems, the renowned wooden churches of the Presov region, imposing fortresses, romantic castles and medieval ruins, together with Europe's best marked trail system in the mountains of the High Tatras.
As well as history, geography and up-to-date practical travel information the guide covers a wide range of visitor's interests including skiing, cycling, white-water rafting, and hiking.
