A new Tourist Information Centre has opened in Sheki one of Azerbaijan’s historical and cultural areas.
This centre will provide for creation of tourism infrastructure in the region, will assist in training of local specialists for tourism industry, will attract businessmen to take active part in the development of tourism sector, and will ensure wide promotion of the region's tourism potential.
In the context of the project "Tourism development in the Southern Caucasus", which is being implemented by the World Bank in accordance with UN development programme, four tourist information centres have been created. . In the near future centres will open in Lenkoran, Gyanja, Guba and Nahichevan. |
