Jana: A book exhibition on the German boat "Logos 2" opened at the port of Tripoli, marking the beginning of activities celebrating the city as the capital of Islamic culture for 2007.
On this occasion, the Secretary for the people`s committee for culture and information of the municipality of Tripoli, Dr Salem Abdelhamid Sultan emphasised his department`s readiness to achieve Libya`s goals of acquiring more knowledge.
According to the programme of activities, "knowledge is a natural right for each person and that ignorance will end when everything is presented in its true colour".
The representative of Libyan general people`s committee for culture emphasised the supreme values explained by Leader Muammar Al Qadhafi’s Green paper considered as the third universal theory on freedom, social justice, knowledge and know-how.
He also commended the presence in Libya of the German boat which came through the efforts of the Libyan charitable association, Waatassimou, and its Secretary General, Dr Aïcha Muammar Al Qadhafi.
The Executive Director of Waatassimou, Ahmed Kajman, said that the arrival of "Logos" in Libya is an illustration of selfless working principles and the spirit of self-denial, which creates the possibility to consolidate cultural exchanges and social relations between the peoples of the world. |
