HACCP Certification For Beirut's Gefinor Rotana
http://www.rotana.com/ Gefinor Rotana has been successfully awarded the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Certificate (HACCP) making it the first hotel in Lebanon to become HACCP certified.
HACCP includes Hazard Analysis identifying critical control points, establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, record keeping and documentation.
The food system at Gefinor Rotana hotel is based on HACCP principles, starting from visiting local suppliers, the receiving and storing of raw materials, till the preparation and serving of finished products.
The system guarantees food safety by identifying and controlling potential food hazards.
This certification recognizes the hotel's numerous efforts to ensure the highest level of quality and safety for the guests, "It is a big achievement in a short time frame", declared the auditors of the certification body, Bureau Veritas.
Rotana currently manages 25 properties throughout the Middle East with an aggressive expansion plans to double the size of the portfolio with a further 35 projects in the pipeline out of which 10 new properties to open in 2008.
