www.travelwirenews.com Londa, the first couture hotel in Cyprus, has recently reopened following an 18-month, multi-million dollar transformation.
A new member of Great Hotels of the World, the hotel has been remodelled as a contemporary business and leisure hotel, with upscale facilities for in-house guests as well as island residents.
Located on its own sandy beach near the bustling town of Limassol, the new-look Londa Hotel features 68 rooms in total. These range from studio rooms to one-bedroom, executive, honeymoon and presidential suites, all spread across seven floors. The interior design of the property is contemporary classic, offering modern and elegant designs, which pay homage to the heritage of the island and use influences from the sea, as well as Cypriot lace, antique filigree silver and wood. Furnishings follow neutral shades and clean lines, while bedrooms are given vibrant accents of colour and texture. Rooms are customised and individualised by maritime reference and boast either stunning panoramic sea-views or outlooks over the town of Limassol.
The property's hallmark is its stunning view over the Mediterranean and the interior design has been developed to highlight this. White marble has been used throughout the entrance and lobby, accented with black wood 'pathways' leading down to the sea. Similarly, the high-ceilinged lobby features a mix of styles and lighting, all designed to highlight the view and complementing the huge sliding glass doors which open out to the sea. Avoiding minimalism so not to sacrifice comfort in pursuit of style, the hotel has been designed as one for both today and tomorrow.
The hotel is further complemented by its new restaurant venue, Caprice of Mykonos. |
