Cityscape Asia Lives Up To Eastern Promise
http://www.cityscape.ae. Capitalising on the major growth potential of South East Asia, Cityscape Asia, which is due to be held at the Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre 10-12 April 2007, is now following in the footsteps of the extraordinary success of Cityscape Dubai. With the opening still almost three months away, organiser IIR Middle East has revealed that more than eighty per cent of exhibition space has been sold with a further ten per cent under offer.
Apart from the host nation, exhibitors from Australia, Malaysia, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, China and the Middle East, have confirmed their participation. The three-day event will highlight regional investment opportunities, iconic architecture and development best practice to global investors through a world-class conference and up to a total of 7,000 square metres of exhibition space.
Neil Hickman, Exhibition Director, Cityscape Asia, commented, “As a regional financial hub, Singapore has the infrastructure to make it an attractive portal for investors looking for access to the region. With a structured, stable and transparent financial environment combined with local and regional expertise, it is estimated that there is in excess of US$ 16 billion in available capital.”
Investors will have entry to a market consisting of nearly three billion consumers, with 291 major projects either on the drawing-board or underway throughout the region, as far a field as Japan and the Asia Pacific Rim.
Public and private commercial property developments are currently growing at over ten per cent annually and exhibitors at ‘Cityscape Asia’ will have a rare opportunity to network with major investors, developers and governmental authorities involved in the development, design and construction of these projects.
Theresa Gan, Project Director, IIR Exhibitions Ltd, claimed, “Singapore is recognised as a leading light for international best practice in both urban and environmental planning, enabling residential and business communities to thrive in harmony. It is hardly surprising that Cityscape Asia will be sold out by April and fully justifies Singapore as the venue of choice.”
Cityscape Asia has also attracted a large contingent of sponsors from the Middle East. Abu Dhabi-based Sorouh, Saudi major Tanmiyat, Dubai’s Fortune Investment Group and Aqaba Development Corporation from Jordan, have all signed-up as Platinum sponsors. Singapore’s Urban Redevelopment Authority has confirmed its position as official supporter of the show. |
