The Independent: Two of Bangladesh’s natural wonders have topped a list of the world’s most amazing scenery in a goal to find the “New Seven Wonders Of Nature”. South-eastern Cox’s Bazaar Beach – 250 miles long and thought to be the world’s largest natural sandy stretch – beat 200 other nominations in an online poll. More than 100 million votes were cast at the site new7wonders.com, a Switzerland-based nonprofit group set up by Bernard Weber. The Sundabans forest home to the Bengal tiger and the world’s largest mangrove forest, is number two in the competition.
