www.tehrantimes.com The decision to hold a joint Iran-Afghanistan tourism exhibition in Mashhad, is a turning point in trade exchange between the two countries, noted Tuesday Afghanistan’s Consul General Mohammad Yusef Etebar in Mashhad.
“A lot of the cultural backgrounds shared between Iran and Afghanistan will be identified through reciprocal relationship between the two countries,” he said in an interview with the Mehr News Agency correspondent in Mashhad, the capital city of Khorasan Razavi Province.
Since the two countries are both situated on the transit route of goods and services from Europe to Asia, they should initiate mutual plans and programs for their tourism industry.
He further referred to the deep cultural affinities between the two neighboring countries and commented that Iran and Afghanistan are both historic and enjoy common valuable cultural history. Regarding historic sites and cultural heritage, they maintain prominent positions in the world, he added. |
