Maldives Tourism Promotion Board together with the major organizations of the private sector of the Maldives meets the Director of “New 7 Wonders”, Mr. Jean Paul de la Fuente.
The main aim of the meeting was to acquire the highest level of advice from the “New 7 Wonders” organization together with private sector on running a successful campaign for the Maldives in winning strategies in the first New 7 Wonders of Nature.
Promotion marketing and communications ideas were discussed to create ways to generate more votes for the Maldives locally and globally through virtual and non virtual campaigns.
Also discussed were the possible economic benefits to the nation as a whole with the increased growth of tourism as well as increased investment opportunities from prestige country brand identity by becoming one of the “New 7 Wonders” of the world.
Maldives has been nominated as one of the finalist competing for “New 7 Wonders of Nature”. The third phase of the “New 7 Wonders of Nature” is now underway, and you can vote Maldives from the 28 official finalists. Voting will continue throughout 2010 and 2011. The result of over 1 billion votes will reveal during the Official declaration event in 2011.
