General View

The Kingdom of Bahrain is an archipelago of low lying island located in the Arabian Gulf of the eastern shore of Saudi Arabia. Frequently called the Pearl of the Arabian Gulf, Bahrain has a history of more than 5,000 years of civilisation, from the mists of time to a vibrant present under a stable and prosperous government. Bahrain is the site of immortal Dilmun, religious centre to Summerians, Babylonians and Assyrians, as dramatic excavations prove. Subsequent visitors include Greeks from the time of Alexander the Great, Portuguese, Omanis and the English. Marvellous old sites and buildings compete with modern office buildings and colourful traditional markets. The climate is hot in summer and mild in winter. From November to April is very pleasant, with temperatures from 15 to 24 degrees centigrade. Temperatures are coolest between December and March when northerly winds prevail. From July to September temperatures average 36 degrees centigrade with high humidity.

Reef To Unveil $2m Motorised Model In Bahrain

Bahrain Tribune: Reef Island’s developer, Lulu Tourism, has announced plans to launch its marketing campaign with a cutting-edge $ 2million motorised model of the Island, the most luxurious project in Bahrain. The motorised model will be the centrepiece of the permanent marketing tent and is scheduled to be unveiled in November.

The official launch of the marketing campaign in the GCC will be marked by a grand opening ceremony at which the vision of the island will be communicated and the model unveiled to the special guests who will comprise dignitaries and prominent business figures from across the region.

“I am convinced that the visitors of our marketing tent will be completely mesmerised by this one-of-a-kind experience. We acknowledge the importance of showcasing our vision in its entirety, and with our state-of-the-art model, the visitors will be able to see the uniqueness of the Reef Island,” said Ernest Fleihan, sales and marketing manager for Reef Island.

The marketing tent will allow interested buyers and investors to get a feel of the Reef Island’s exclusive lifestyle as well as meet the specialised sales team debuting on November 2007 until 2010, the expected date of the project’s completion.

Reef Island will be built on 6.23 million square feet island on the shores of Manama hosting luxurious residential designs, various open areas and vibrant parks all over the property. The island entails 39 residential buildings, 65 villas, 49 beach villas and a 5-star hotel and spa. It will also feature a shopping mall, a medical centre and a yacht club. The island will have two phases as completion dates – the first will wrap up in early 2009 and the second at the end of 2010.
