Syria Hosts Arab Tourism Bourse


 

 

 

The International Fair of Tourism, Travel and Trips ATB 4 (Arab Tourism Bourse) opened its doors successfully 4th times on the fairgrounds Damascus – Syria at the end of last month.

 

The fair was inaugurated by the Minister of Economy and Commerce, and Ambassadors of the several countries, and Representatives from Chambers of Tourism, and Commerce, and former Ministers of Tourism, and the General Director of the public establishment of international fairs and exhibitions, and a big number of trade visitors, buyers and experts dealing with tourism sector in Syria,

 

The inauguration started with a cocktail party given by the fair organizer company al Sarayri & Salha Int. Co., and continued with a Syrian folklore show presented by Jolnar band for popular arts in a quarter of old Damascus that specially built inside the main exhibition hall, also during the folklore show offered to the visitors some old Damascus meals in a traditional style that took everyone to the past for a short time,   

 

After that, the Minister and the Honorable Guests had a tour in the fair and met the participant country and company representatives,

 

Media representatives from press, radio, and television covered the inauguration widely,

 

There were participants from 10 different countries in the fair which are include Syria, Turkey, Morocco, Malaysia, South Africa, Sudan, UAE, Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, and some countries represented by Ministry of Tourism, and also in the ATB 4 Fair took place several airlines like Syrian Air, Turkish Airlines and Egypt Air, and Syrian Chambers of Tourism from different regions, and Union of Syrian Chambers, and a big number of hotels and restaurants, and so many travel agencies, tourism magazines, and TV channels, 

 

In the evening of the second day of the fair, the organizing company held an official dinner banquet on the honor of the participant countries and companies,

 

During the days of the fair, there was a daily lottery from Turkish airlines on a free ticket and from Korel Thermal Hotel on a free hotel accommodation for two persons,

 

Visitor numbers reached for more than 9100 visitors (22% from outside of Syria ),

 

Finally, all the participants showed a great deal of satisfaction about the fair and they left with a positive intention of participation in the next edition of ATB.
